Dancing the delicate threads between nothing and everything. I tap into light that shines through those cracks in everything.
My building projects are heavily Influenced by Nader Khalili (1936-2008), founder of CalEarth and inventor of SuperAdobe; Michael Reynolds, founder of the Earthship Academy, Steve Kornher and flying concrete, SunRay Kelly, and many others who have bravely forged their own paths, to new doors, and open windows.
In 2021 I founded The Joy Project www.joyproject.com and in 2023 I founded The Wellness Garden Project and Wellness Gardeners United.
I am a proud mother, daughter, therapist, coach, author, publisher, podcaster, speaker, artist, singer, songwriter, musician, teacher, and a member of the American Horticultural Society (AHS) and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).

MY EXPERIENCE
Background & Expertise
STORYTELLER, SPEAKER, VIDEOGRAPHER AND PHOTOGRAPHER
1990 to present
I have been a hobbyist photographer and storyteller since I started college. My undergraduate studies were in photography, ceramic sculpture, and storytelling. Ultimately my first degree was titled Patterns of Earth and Man, with a double minor in Storytelling and Creative Writing. I started working on my performance anxiety with video around 2010, and then decided to 'get seriously silly' about my YouTube channel in 2016. I have uploaded over 3000 unedited, unscripted, 'life-real' videos to YouTube, a growing number to FB, and counting...
SINGER, SONGWRITER, MUSICIAN, PERFORMING ARTIST
Sometime before 1981-Present
I currently get to sing and play rhythm guitar with many fine musicians, sometimes in the original Rock band, 1000 Words, and sometimes in various cover bands. I also sometimes play in an acoustic duo called Alturnation with my good friend and bandmate, Wayne Waltz. I have been writing songs and strumming the guitar off and on since at least 5th grade.

What I’ve Done
THE HEAD HUTT AND FOO DOG MEGASCULPTURES
The Head Hutt and the Foo Dog Root-Cellar Dog Cave, are both one of a kind Megasculptures which I built in my backyard in the city. I started them in 2010, with very little knowledge or experience with the materials or the scale/size, mainly to learn about building with recycled materials, I was dealing with a lot of anger and a sense of trauma from the news of the Gulf Oil Spill, among other things, and so they were also my therapy, my outlet, and my guides into a journey of self exploration and expression.

AGRISCULPTURE EXPERIMENT
I started this 1 Acre Agrisculpture in 2015 with a 10-20 year plan in mind. I have made some progress, however getting trees to take root and survive even one year out on the land I affectionately call "Windy Flats", has proven more of a challenge than I anticipated. I do not give up easily though, when I have a vision for something, and so I continue to work on this at least a few times a year, awaiting more time and money in my budget for it...
